Testing Services : Filter Efficiency Media Analysis
MikroPul's Filter Efficiency Media Analyzer (FEMA) provides a standard for the evaluation and testing of bag filter media. The equipment and procedure allows for a faster and more reliable method for selecting the right filter media or a given filtration application and simulates media performance in real life dust collector operations. Standard tests are usually run for 100 cleaning cycles to simulate steady state conditions with a constant filter rate and dust feed rate. Filter media tests are run using standard aluminum oxide dusts or the customer's product. At the end of each run, the residual pressure drop after cleaning, the time between cleaning cycles, the weight gain of the media, and the dust concentration (emission) of clean gas are recorded. A comparison of these four factors provides an excellent basis for selecting the right media for a given application. Tests by the FEMA are automatically controlled by a PC and all data are continuously logged, insuring accuracy and repeatability of the tests. The FEMA further provides automatic cleaning at a predefined |
